The move comes after a 4-11 start and Sunday's 51-14 loss to the Los Angeles Rams.
Hackett's dismissal puts an abrupt end to the shortest tenure of any non-interim head coach in franchise history. The Broncos' new ownership -- the Walton-Penner Group, led by Walmart heir Rob Walton, his daughter Carrie Walton Penner and son-in-law Greg Penner -- quickly ran out of patience for a team with one of the league's best defenses with an offense that simply could not score.

I can't believe Denver tried to kick a FG
The odds of them getting 5-10 more yards and a first down was much more probable, and would have made the kick much more likely to go through. No guarantee, of course, but either way, that was a really bad call by Denver's coaches. Almost nobody makes a 64 yard FG. I'll take it, though.

I said Wilson was done after that game. You never wanna put too much into 1 game but he looked stuck in mud out there. Just cooked. Ended up being true.
This story isn’t over yet though, NFL is a weird game. Wouldn’t shock me if they got the #1 pick next year and get Caleb Williams and Russ made it all possible.
nah he sucks, this is the 2nd coach that’s been called an idiot because people want to make excuses for him. Coaching is just so non-quantifiable that it is an easy place for people to go. If the run isn’t working then fans want to pass more, vice versa. Sometimes the players just aren’t that good at the highest level of competition. Occam Razor

I don’t think he lacks commitment, he seems pretty dedicated. Think I read once he spends hundreds of thousands on his diet/training.
But he’s 5’11 and seriously reliant on athleticism….My guess is most of these new school QBs will have similar shelf lives, Brady/Manning/Brees/Rodgers were able to play forever because they didn’t really have to change playing style. Even Josh allen or Mahomes, hard to see them playing at a high level at 35 unless they really adjust, but we won’t know that answer for awhile. World might end by then.
